School of Health Professions For almost 50 years, the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) has been dedicated to making lives better through education, research, service and patient care. Our schools of medicine, allied health, nursing, dentistry and biomedical sciences are among the best in the nation. As an integral part of the Health Science Center, the School of Health Professions offers 11 different degrees and certificates within five academic departments.
