Getting a chance to listen to candidates during the AARP forum was immensely helpful. Citizens asked wise, important questions and the moderator did a fantastic job!!

For National Reading Month, I virtually read to Mrs. Paredes class, Maryam's Magic: The Story of Mathematician Maryam Mirzhakani. I used the Kindle version so students could clearly see the pictures and it was such a lovely experience. The students seemed to like the story because it included her enchanting Magic Wand Theory. They also enjoyed Maryam's method for coming up with her theories: spreading huge pieces of paper on the floor and drawing all of them out. That was a delightful experience.
